This pre-conference seminar will focus on demystifying the learning analytics (LA) process. You will be guided through a pragmatic framework for understanding organizational capacity for analytics with examples from different institutions. Strategic approaches will be shared, along with straight talk about triumphs and blunders. Participants will leave with practical resources, templates, and tools, including a draft action plan to outline LA initiatives at their institutions.
Outcomes: Compare and contrast three distinct approaches to scaling learning analytics for the NGDLE * Apply the five key components of Pugliese’s framework for organizational capacity to scaling learning analytics * Leverage resources, templates, and tools to create an action plan for their institutions
