Learning Analytics: Whose Job is it Anyways?

Institutions are developing a culture of data exploration to inform teaching, learning and student success. We discuss how the results of a faculty research project evolved into a campus initiative where institutional data is rendered for instructors on an LMS platform, setting the next stage for a data informed culture.

Outcomes: Participants will- 1- Understand the importance of collaboration and institutional change for the delivery of Learning Analytics to end users; 2 – Independently identify factors critical at their own institutions; 3 – Devise actionable strategies to overcome barriers and challenges; 4 – Develop an awareness of commonalities with other institutions.
