In this interactive session, participants will identify concrete ways to apply design thinking to transform students' digital experiences. Portland State University leaders from academic affairs and IT will draw from their nationally recognized work. Design thinking, a must-have skillset, offers an approach to innovation that leverages user-centeredness and rapid prototyping.

Outcomes: Articulate the basic contours of design thinking * Apply design thinking to student digital experience transformation efforts at your institution, informed by a case study of a mobile app transformation at Portland State * Describe the hallmarks of effective academic affairs and IT partnerships
