Making a Splash with Service Design

Elon University developed the Service Design unit to improve efficiencies by focusing on thoughtful design of newly implemented services and examining existing processes for continual service improvement. This session will focus on Elon's journey evolving IT support from break-fix to a proactive approach of anticipating the needs of the business.

Outcomes: 1.) Think critically about service process improvement. 2.) Identify warning signs of poorly designed processes. 3.) Understand key elements of proper service design. 4.) Explain best practices of building a Service Catalog. 5.) Anticipate challenges in modifying long-standing business processes.
