Increasing the role and impact of women in IT is a cornerstone of IT organizational improvement and critical to organizational success. The presenters will share how collaboration with the EDUCAUSE Women in IT Community Group for a conference presentation led to a Male Allies initiative at the University of Nebraska.
Outcomes: Articulate the importance of increasing the percentage of women in higher education IT * Apply lessons learned to assess your institution's readiness to create a male allies community * Create a plan to facilitate discussions and lead initiatives in your organization regarding male allies and women in IT
