Virtual reality, augmented reality, and 3D scanning and printing technologies—collectively called mixed reality (XR) tools—introduce a new set of challenges and opportunities for higher education. We will report on research on opportunities for incorporating XR into the university context, with case studies from Yale, Syracuse, FIU, and Hamilton.
