Motivation and Content: Framing Messaging in Online Education

This session presents a framework for instructor-initiated messaging that draws on best practices in online education. The messaging framework is based on two dimensions: motivation for, and content of, the message. It considers whether or not the messaging is in response to a behavior and if it’s common or unique.
