How do we shape the future higher education IT workforce? The IT organization and its work are complex and require a range of skills to be successful. This panel will discuss work of an EDUCAUSE/Jisc task force on how to attract, prepare, and retain successful higher education IT staff.

Outcomes: Understand how evolving IT roles and responsibilities necessitate a change in how we attract and retain IT staff * Understand how education requirements relate to hiring * Understand ways to adjust recruitment and retention practices to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion * Develop a strategy to review and improve local hiring practices
