Tuesday, October 28, 2025 | 9:45AM–10:30AM CT | EDUCAUSE Commons, Enterprise Central, Poster Area
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster
Learning and Employment Records (LERs) are emerging as a powerful tool to bridge the gap between education and employment by capturing and sharing learners' skills in meaningful, interoperable ways. Yet for many institutions, moving from concept to implementation remains a challenge. Launched in 2024 with support from Walmart, the LER Accelerator brings together 13 national associations and a growing network of postsecondary institutions to explore scalable strategies for LER adoption. This collaborative initiative supports institutions—especially those early in their digital credential journey—in navigating common barriers such as interoperability, stakeholder alignment, and system integration. This interactive session will feature coalition leaders and institutional partners sharing practical insights from the Accelerator’s first year. Participants will explore key principles guiding LER adoption, learn from diverse institutional experiences, and access free tools and resources to support local implementation. Whether you're just getting started or refining an existing LER strategy, you’ll gain actionable ideas and connect with a national community committed to advancing learner-centered, skill-transparent digital credentials.
