AI-Enhanced BI Practices: A Workshop for Modern Developers (separate registration is required)
Discover how BI professionals can unlock new levels of productivity by integrating generative AI into their everyday workflows. This hands-on session is designed for entry to mid-level BI developers seeking to streamline tedious tasks—like documentation, project planning, and requirements gathering—without losing control over quality or expertise. You’ll learn how to map out effective BI workflows and enhance them using AI tools to automate routine processes, generate project assets, and align more quickly with stakeholder needs. Through real-world demonstrations, prompt-based activities, and collaborative exercises, you’ll leave with reusable templates, AI best practices, and practical strategies to elevate your BI development toolkit—starting immediately.
Outcomes of this workshop:
- Map and refine BI development workflows to improve standardization, clarity, and stakeholder alignment.
- Use generative AI tools to automate documentation, project planning, and communication tasks.
- Create AI-assisted project artifacts such as intake forms and timelines using structured prompts.
Note: Participants who successfully complete this preconference workshop will be eligible to receive an EDUCAUSE microcredential. To earn this digital badge, you must complete a brief workshop evaluation and share two key learning outcomes from your experience. All registered participants will receive an email on October 29 with instructions for completing these steps. Completion of both is required. To learn how to accept and make the most of your microcredential, visit the EDUCAUSE Microcredential website.
