Creating an AI-Empowered University: A Real-World Blueprint for Student and Institutional Success

Wednesday, October 29, 2025 | 4:00PM–4:45PM CT | Meeting Room 207 CD, Level 2
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Industry Insights
California Lutheran University launched "Ask Gumby"—a university-wide AI assistant that has transformed how 4,400+ students, faculty, and staff access information and complete tasks across campus. In partnership with Entrinsik, CLU deployed Informer AI Assistants built atop existing Business Intelligence data, integrated natively with their ERP, SIS, LMS, and embedded directly into their web portal and mobile app. Students get instant answers about financial aid, course schedules, and campus services. Faculty streamline administrative tasks and enhance teaching. Staff operate more efficiently with AI-powered insights from institutional data. Building on this success, CLU is exploring Informer GO, Entrinsik's mobile and desktop application, to provide even more flexible access to AI assistance across devices. This isn't theoretical—it's a working solution delivering measurable results without additional staffing costs or compromising data security. Built with enterprise-grade governance, the solution protects academic intellectual property while ensuring students graduate with practical AI literacy essential for their careers. CLU's approach proves that comprehensive, ethical AI transformation is achievable for any institution. Attendees will gain real implementation examples, user feedback, and a practical roadmap for launching their own AI-empowered campus.
