Generative AI is increasingly impacting higher education, and AI tutoring is emerging as a critical component for enhancing student learning and instructional support. To fully realize the potential of AI tutoring, we need to study how students actually use these tools. Drawing from more than 240,000 student interactions with AI Tutor Pro—a free, globally used digital assistant—this session highlights concrete insights into students' subject preferences, tutoring engagement patterns, session duration, and preferred learning modes (diagnostic versus exploratory). Join us to explore key findings illustrated by authentic student data, discover practical strategies tailored specifically for instructional designers, faculty, and IT professionals, and participate in a discussion on how your institution can effectively implement and scale AI tutoring to support student success and institutional goals.
