Session Type: Preconference Workshop
Delivery Format: Additional Fee Program

How do we inspire transformative change and innovation in higher education in a time of uncertainty and myriad challenges? This interactive workshop immerses participants in proven practices for cultivating trust, inspiration, and generosity—core drivers of effective change, especially in times of pressure. Drawing on proven methods and tools, participants will engage in hands-on activities, scenario-based simulations, and structured reflection. Attendees will leave with actionable tools and strategies to build cohesive teams, foster productive conflict and resilience, and lead meaningful change on their own campuses.

Outcomes of this workshop:

  • Demonstrate generative listening skills to build trust, empathy, and productive collaboration throughout innovative change.
  • Analyze and map stakeholders to clarify roles, anticipate needs, and strengthen plans for successful change initiatives.
  • Apply proven creative methods to generate investment in and commitment to innovative change and drive collaborative group decisions and actions that foster connection and cohesion.

Note: Participants who successfully complete this preconference workshop will be eligible to receive an EDUCAUSE microcredential. To earn this digital badge, you must complete a brief workshop evaluation and share two key learning outcomes from your experience. All registered participants will receive an email on October 29 with instructions for completing these steps. Completion of both is required. To learn how to accept and make the most of your microcredential, visit the EDUCAUSE Microcredential website.
