While many faculty are excited about the opportunity to improve their instruction through the use of generative AI, they frequently don’t know where to begin. This session will showcase the structured approach we took to empower faculty to discover and implement innovative instructional uses for generative AI, drawing on the Barnard College AI Literacy Framework and Design Thinking methodology. Participants will learn the steps of this approach, such as AI Process Mapping and Proto-prompting, which they can then utilize to expand their own generative AI innovation capacity.
