The Creative Engagement Wing was co-created with three distinct campus units (office of instruction, libraries, and IT) that all came together to develop a space that would inspire students and equip them with the 21st-century skills and tools to think, plan, and create for the future. This project co-located, enhanced, or brought entirely new services and technologies into one space, alongside the staff needed to help assist students during their learning journeys. Working across often siloed units on campus is never without its challenges, but effectively doing so can lead to great reward. Join us to learn more about our process from ideation to/through renovation, and how we were able to garner support. Share your own expertise, feedback and suggestions in both collaborating with campus partners and developing tech-rich learning environments; and learn best practices to operationalize a suite of services and spaces that optimize the user experience. Participants will learn one institution's path toward engaging with faculty in these spaces and encouraging curricular integration of the space technology through various methods. Finally, presenters will discuss steps and strategies to ensure long-term success and engagement for the space.
