From Pilots to Practice: A Framework for Campus-Wide AI Integration

Wednesday, October 29, 2025 | 3:15PM–4:00PM CT | EDUCAUSE Commons, Teaching & Learning Central, Poster Area
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster
What does it take to scale AI adoption across a university in a way that’s practical, inclusive, and sustainable? This session showcases a framework that began with a 100-person Microsoft 365 Copilot beta program and grew into a 700-member cross-functional community spanning frontline staff to executive leadership. You'll learn how Auburn University's TIGER Tech Leaders initiative (which stands for Technology, Efficiency, Growth, Innovation, and Results) empowers employees across all governance groups through targeted learning paths, bi-weekly collaborative check-ins, and Teams-based knowledge-sharing with internal and Microsoft partners. Learn how we built momentum after initial interest, how instructional design principles helped reinvigorate adoption efforts, and how regular data collection and analysis informs key decisions. With engagement rates as high as 130 attendees per check-in and survey data showing productivity, quality, and speed gains that exceed Microsoft’s global benchmarks, this framework offers a blueprint for others looking to align AI implementation with institutional goals. Whether you're starting from scratch or hoping to scale, you'll leave with practical tools and replicable strategies to drive campus-wide transformation.
