Higher Education and IT Policy, 2025

Tuesday, October 28, 2025 | 3:30PM–4:15PM CT | Meeting Room 204, Level 2
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation/Panel Session
The second Trump administration has brought a wave of challenges to higher education. These include fiscal challenges that could impact institutional investment in IT. By design, the administration has significantly lessened the flow of new regulatory activity. However, at least some cybersecurity efforts have carried over into 2025 and the potential remains for other higher education and IT policy impacts to emerge in 2026. Join EDUCAUSE Senior Policy Advisor Jarret Cummings and Government Relations Advisor Bailey Graves to discuss these issues and more as the year’s unprecedented federal policy environment continues to unfold.
