Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster
Ohio University (OU) has partnered with several local high schools to expand access to college-level courses through innovative video collaboration technology. This initiative brings the university’s College Credit Plus (CCP) program directly to high school students through seamless and scalable video conferencing systems. This initiative has helped eliminate barriers like transportation and in-person class requirements, allowing high school students to engage in real-time, college-level classes remotely from their high school campuses. This session will explore the impact of this collaboration, focusing on how new, easy-to-deploy, cost-effective, and reliable video solutions are bridging the gap between high school and higher education, promoting scalable access, and fostering early college experiences. Ohio University representatives will discuss how the initiative has evolved from its legacy video conferencing systems to the current solution, and the real-world impact it has had on students and faculty. The session will emphasize scalability, operational considerations, and the role of video collaboration in expanding access to higher education.
