In a world filled with vast amounts of information, the value of carefully curated digital resources can be lost if the right information isn’t accessible to the right people at the right time. The mission of Mayo Clinic’s Education Technology Center (ETC) is to provide an integrated technology infrastructure that supports Mayo Clinic’s academic mission. Our learning ecosystem includes over 30 vended and customized applications. Delivering up-to-date training and support for health care educators has been challenging, as these resources have traditionally been spread across multiple departments and storage locations. To address this challenge, the Education Technology Center (ETC) partnered with Mayo Clinic’s Learning Solutions Center (LSC), a team of instructional designers, to create the Healthcare Educators Resource site (HERs). This centralized platform provides health care educators and staff with reliable, accessible resources any time. It supports digital fluency through a robust repository of step-by-step technical guides, instructional design principles, multimedia strategies, and FAQs tailored to the unique needs of health care education. Since our implementation in January 2025, the feedback received from health care educators and staff has been overwhelmingly positive. Creation of the HERs site has streamlined access to training content and resources and significantly reduced duplicative, outdated, and scattered documentation.
