Mastering Data Management: Leveraging DMBoK for Effective Practices (separate registration is required)
This workshop provides an in-depth exploration of the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBoK), offering participants practical insights and strategies to enhance their data management practices. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of DMBoK principles and learn how to apply them to real-world scenarios to improve data governance, quality, and security. Additionally, attendees will learn about the Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification and the impact of that certification on the presenters’ work.
Outcomes of this workshop:
- Understanding DMBoK Framework: Participants will learn the key components and structure of the DMBoK framework.
- Practical Application: Participants will see strategies for implementing DMBoK principles in various organizational contexts.
- Program Enhancement: Participants will understand how the DMBoK Framework can enhance data governance, quality, and security programs.
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) Certification: Participants will learn about the CDMP certification and the presenters’ experiences with the certification.
Note: Participants who successfully complete this preconference workshop will be eligible to receive an EDUCAUSE microcredential. To earn this digital badge, you must complete a brief workshop evaluation and share two key learning outcomes from your experience. All registered participants will receive an email on October 29 with instructions for completing these steps. Completion of both is required.
