Program review and productivity is a complex and necessary process as more higher education institutions focus on the costs and benefits of offering programs. This presentation shows the results of the program productivity review using the newly developed metrics and updated policy at the University of North Carolina System Office, a system of 16 public universities in NC offering around 1,800 degree programs at all degree levels. Implementation of the metrics included developing evaluation criteria and a process for scheduling systematic program review.
