Ready to Change Lanes? A Playbook for Moving Faculty from Fear to Flourishing with AI (a hybrid classroom experience*)

Tuesday, October 28, 2025 | 3:30PM–4:15PM CT | Meeting Room 209 C, Level 2
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation/Panel Session

AI sparks everything from wonder to worry among faculty. Guided by a seven-stage individual roadmap—Initial Understanding, Grief, Flip the Script, Day of Reckoning, Curiosity, Integration and Sharing, and Honing—this session equips teaching-centered leaders with bite-sized conversations and micro-activities that turn apprehension into action. Participants depart with diagnostic language, obstacle-specific resources, and plug-and-play engagement ideas they can replicate or scale across departments to foster sustained, human-centered AI innovation on their campuses.

* Brought to you through a collaboration between EDUCAUSE and ETC (Educational Technology Collaborative), this hybrid classroom pilot program allows us to bring the event experience to a select group who cannot attend in person. The hybrid classroom experience leverages cutting-edge technology to allow the remote audience to participate real-time with the in-person audience. Representatives from the tech companies providing equipment will be present to answer any questions.
