Tuesday, October 28, 2025 | 4:30PM–5:15PM CT | EDUCAUSE Commons, EDUCAUSE Central Poster Area
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster

In today’s evolving educational landscape, an innovative IT department can drive sustainable transformation. This session explores how a strategic, multitiered outreach model is helping one open-enrollment institution navigate rapid academic, administrative, and cultural change. By leveraging research, collaboration, and intentional design, the ITS department has successfully identified and implemented emerging technologies that reshape learning, professional development, and community engagement. Initiatives like immersive learning, microcredentials, LinkedIn Learning, the Educause Student Tech Survey, and generative AI applications demonstrate how outreach and design foster buy-in and adoption. The session will also highlight the Center for Learning Innovation, the AI K–12 initiative, and the regional WIN Coalition as examples of how technology strategy extends beyond the classroom. Cultural transformation is advanced by creating inclusive spaces for dialogue, creativity, and shared vision—positioning IT as a true partner in institutional change.
