This session will highlight a dynamic Cybersecurity Internship Program designed to prepare students for the future of work through professional development and skills enhancement. Over a ten-week period, students engaged in hands-on, real-world cybersecurity projects, including SIEM implementation, penetration testing, AI security research, and security awareness campaigns. With structured mentorship, diverse team composition, and project-based learning, interns gained critical technical and career readiness skills. Focus group feedback underscored the program’s positive impact on student growth and community workforce development in California’s Central Valley. The session will showcase program outcomes, model design, and future plans for scaling and sustainability.
