Wednesday, October 29, 2025 | 9:45AM–10:30AM CT | EDUCAUSE Commons, Enterprise Central, Poster Area
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster

In an era of rapid change and increasing complexity, institutions must rethink how they approach strategic planning. This session explores how generative AI (GenAI) tools and Agile methodologies can be combined to create a more adaptive, efficient, and stakeholder-informed planning  process. Drawing on real-world examples and practical applications, the presentation demonstrates how GenAI can be used to enrich environmental scanning, simulate stakeholder communication, clarify goals using SMART frameworks, and accelerate the development of project charters and action plans. Attendees will also learn how Agile principles can be applied to support strategy execution and team collaboration. Specific tools and prompts will be shared to help participants immediately prototype GenAI use cases and introduce Agile thinking into current initiatives. Designed for higher education leaders, planners, and IT professionals, this session offers a roadmap for enhancing institutional planning processes. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies to initiate GenAI-enhanced workflows and Agile planning practices at their own institutions.
