Higher education IT procurement teams are tasked with reviewing very complex IT contracts under tight timelines that impact the overall procurement process and ultimately, projects and university deliverables. This session explores how IT business operations, in collaboration with procurement and strategic sourcing at Texas State University, recently engaged in a comprehensive IT contract workflow review to minimize redundancies, enhance timeliness, and execute contracts with a 35% reduction in time. We’ll discuss how AI-powered contract review has been a major component of contract markup with SaaS and software license agreements, and lessons learned from piloting this approach.
