Voices of Students: Identifying Challenges and Solving Them with AI

Wednesday, October 29, 2025 | 2:15PM–3:00PM CT | Meeting Room 201, Level 2
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Industry Insights
What are the biggest challenges students face when seeking support from their institutions? To answer this, Canyon GBS conducted a nationwide survey asking students about pain points such as waiting on hold for an hour, struggling to reach help after hours, and finding personalized support throughout their journey. The results highlight systemic gaps that impact success and well-being, and they reveal opportunities for institutions to respond more effectively. This session will share those survey findings and connect them to how AI can help close these gaps by providing timely responses, reducing staff workload, and ensuring that every student has access to consistent, personalized support. Panelists will explore national trends, equity implications, and practical ways institutions can use AI-human collaboration to transform both student services and administrative functions like advising, IT, and HR. With over 75 years of combined higher education leadership experience, the panel brings fresh insights and actionable strategies for building campuses where students get the help they need, when they need it.
