Third parties are key partners of the higher education community, providing critical products and services to institutions. Understanding the risks third parties pose to a given institution has never been an easy task given the number of third parties used, as well as the diverse products and services the third parties provide. However, a category of TPRM tools addresses the scaling problem. This session will provide a quick overview of a typical TPRM program and provide background on security rating solutions and how these solutions might be incorporated into existing third-party risk management (TPRM) and supply chain risk management (SCRM) programs to reduce cyber risk.
