Why is the Security Professionals Conference moving from a face-to-face to an online experience?
- Many of our Security attendees are now subject to travel bans and also need to stay close to their campuses to help manage the evolving health situation. In the past few days we have seen a growing number of cancellations, including presenters, which threatened to erode the quality of the experience for attendees.
- The final decision was made not longer after Washington's Governor Inslee issued an emergency proclamation that limits large events from convening in the greater Seattle metropolitan area.
- The health and safety of our event attendees and staff is our highest priority, and moving to an online event is our way of preserving the value of the Security event experience during a time with COVID-19 travel and gathering concerns.
