According to the 2015 Core Data Service, two-thirds of higher education institutions do not have a full-time information security staff member. For the second year in a row, information security is the top spot in the EDUCAUSE Top 10 IT Issues list. Whether you are a lone professional, a new or aspiring CISO, or a CIO with a headache, this session will get you started answering the questions that arise when starting an information security program. Or at least learn from my mistakes. This is a general interest session.
