Webinar | Elevate Your Brand: Leadership Competencies, Career Growth, and Faculty Opportunities
EDUCAUSE has collected more than four years of leadership and management competency data across areas such as decision-making, communication, team development, financial management, institutional change, and strategic leadership. In this session, we’ll share key insights from the dataset to illuminate today’s leadership landscape in higher education. Participants will gain practical tools to assess individual and team strengths, design personalized professional development plans, and explore ways to expand their professional impact. The session will also highlight opportunities to contribute, including serving as faculty in EDUCAUSE programs. Participants will leave equipped to build a comprehensive plan that integrates volunteering, learning, authoring, and leadership to strengthen their brands, broaden their networks, and accelerate their careers.
Learning Outcomes:
- Interpret leadership competency trends in higher education based on EDUCAUSE research.
- Conduct self- and team-assessments (at no cost) to identify strengths and areas for growth.
- Apply strategies to design personalized career paths and professional development plans.
- Identify opportunities to contribute expertise and expand networks through EDUCAUSE professional learning programs.
- Assemble a comprehensive plan that incorporates volunteering, learning, authoring, facilitating, and leadership to build a professional brand, broaden networks, and accelerate career advancement.
