This session will review the state of digital literacy, based on extensive research, interviews with thought leaders, and the NMC 2016 survey. We will discuss various institutional digital literacy programs and explore major issues, including domain knowledge, fake news, new forms of authority, students as producers, and the impact of libraries.

Outcomes: Explore current digital literacy issues and challenges * Learn about the range of institutional digital literacy implementations * Help faculty integrate digital literacy into the curriculum and courses
