Outside firms deliver an increasing number of applications to higher ed customers through cloud-based services that depend on web browsers as the primary user interface. In this presentation, we will describe vendor selection, contracting, and collaboration strategies to ensure that the interfaces to cloud-based services maximize accessibility for disabled users, including accessibility requirements manifest in a vendor's Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT).
Outcomes: Learn about the VPAT * Compare vendors with respect to willingness and ability to support product upgrades that improve accessibility * Use appropriate professional language to negotiate accessibility concerns with cloud application vendors
