Journey to the Cloud: Perspectives from Two Small Schools in Flight

Friday, November 03 | 9:10AM–10:00AM ET | Meeting Room 113C, 100 Level
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Interactive Presentation
As business models in higher education rapidly evolve, the demand has increased for technology services and systems to support those models with greater efficiency, robustness, and adaptability. This is particularly challenging for small schools that have fewer resources to support the same scope of services. Two small schools will share their vision and drivers for moving to the cloud as a way to better meet these demands, as well as strategies for success and lessons learned.

Outcomes: Identify drivers for moving to cloud systems to provide robust and adaptable infrastructure systems * Compare and contrast two different roadmaps for moving to a cloud-based infrastructure *Explore several strategies to improve project success
