Open Learning Analytics in the Cloud

We will present and demonstrate the implementation of a cloud-based open learning analytics framework piloted on a first-year course required for 2,000 students. Data gathered on student interaction with course materials is captured live through xAPI protocols and helps inform course administrators on student performance and course content interactions.

Outcomes: Understand the major interface standards of learning systems and the learning record store * Understand how the systems can be implemented in a cloud environment * Understand the efficacy of such a system to your institution
