A configuration management database (CMDB) has become a hot buzzword. Like so many concepts in IT, it's largely defined by the organization. A CMDB is only useful when the organization decides what's important and why. This poster will explore Wesleyan's process for defining the CMDB and engaging champions to help maintain it.
Outcomes: Develop strategies for defining what is important to focus on in your CMDB effort * Leave less intimidated by a CMDB and learn how to begin tackling components with clarity * Better understand CMDB's value and how to get skeptics to play along
