Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Learners Embrace the UDL Experience

In this interactive session, participants will learn the basics of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and receive a list of tools and strategies for implementing the principles of UDL to support students who are deaf, hard-of-hearing (HOH), and deafblind. Specifically, this session will focus on designing in-class experiences and setting up the class-level learning management system. You'll be able to see the strategies in practice and will have an opportunity to ask questions about your own unique context.

Outcomes: Learn about the 3 principles of UDL * Identify at least one strategy to support deaf, HOH, and deafblind students for each principle of UDL * Identify at least one new tool to implement in your instruction when you return to class
