We will discuss the results of an exploratory research project designed to define "faculty engagement" from the point of view of faculty, students, and instructional designers and identify perceived barriers to faculty engagement from each of the groups. They will also share some novel instructional designer–led approaches to jump-start faculty engagement, including partnering with instructors in collaborative research projects and initiating opportunities for faculty to develop video presentation skills. You'll participate in the discussion and reflect on ways to tackle similar problems at your institution.
