What strategies best promote inclusive education for learners with a range of abilities? In this interactive “Short Presentation Pairs” session, Heidi Pettyjohn, University of Cincinnati, and Eric Kunnen, Grand Valley State University, will share their unique perspectives in tackling the challenging issues of accessibility within the context and culture of their institutions. Attendees will participate, learn, share, and connect with peers to explore accessibility concepts and strategies, and understand the impact of universal design on student success, teaching, and learning

Outcomes: Articulate the importance of accessibility in higher education. Build awareness of successful strategic approaches to address accessibility needs. Explore unique solutions to advance universal design for learning that can be implemented at their own institution. Assess their own readiness to start or support accessibility initiatives at their own institution.
