With a history of IT reporting through Academic Affairs, there was an inability to effectively link strategic technology investments to the university's strategic plan. In less than one year, University Technology Solutions has rapidly and efficiently executed an extensive restructure of the organization, including the addition of IT Strategic Services, implementation of adaptive governance processes for large-scale IT projects, and the rollout of a demand-management process. This includes the addition of business relationship managers and portfolio owners, and has enabled the business to make huge strides in digital transformation for both IT services and infrastructure.
