Data First: Lessons from JCU & EAB's Education Data Hub Collaboration

On Demand
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: On-Demand

Like many campuses, JCU's technology ecosystem ballooned in recent years. Datasets became siloed and data movements resulted in a complex web of integrations. This presentation explores how JCU IT regained control and put data at the center of IT strategy by working with EAB to develop the Education Data Hub.

Outcomes:

Recognize the value of addressing data governance, integration, and analytics in unison * Articulate the value of data abstraction and business-first data models to promote sustainability and accessibility in a campus data strategy * Understand how a higher education data model can be configured to support campus-specific use cases
