We’ll review fundamental cybersecurity principles, and clarify the DoD’s new Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), that institutions doing research for DoD will need to comply with. Higher ed has unique challenges to enhancing cybersecurity including independent faculty, a wide range of sensitive data, multiple vulnerability points. We’ll discuss strategies to overcome these challenges.
