Ethical Learning Analytics: Do No Harm vs. Do Nothing?

What is an institution's ethical obligation of knowing something about its students? In this presentation, we'll make a case for why -- despite understandable ethical and privacy concerns about use of student data -- we cannot "do nothing" as a way to ensure we "do no harm."
