Learning Analytics: Governance, Ethics, Confidentiality, and Privacy

This session reports on a research project surveying strengths and weaknesses of a sample of Canadian institutional policies on student feedback data and learning analytics governance. It offers recommendations on improving data governance practices, with a view to ethically combining emerging learning analytics tools with student feedback data.
