We will share how we have worked to motivate study participation and engagement with the use of app analytics and gamification strategies in several NIH and VA grant projects. We have leveraged specific strategies such as simulated pet caregiving, positive message delivery, lottery mechanisms, peer encouragement, and social support networks.
