Thursday, October 29 | 3:00PM–3:20PM ET
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Simulive

Universities handle massive amounts of very sensitive information, but they need to keep it flowing freely while maintaining high levels of both security and privacy. James Cassidy from the University of Oklahoma will discuss the challenges faced by his team and other university SOC teams, especially in this time of COVID-19, in balancing security and privacy.  Avi Chesla will present how Artificial Intelligence can enable a "zero human touch" on data so that university security teams can achieve both a high level of security and a high level of privacy, while lowering the burden on SOC teams through automation.

Outcomes:

Understand the conflicting challenges of protecting university networks while safeguarding privacy * Discover how automation technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) can play a role in providing effective security coverage without exposing personal information to human analysts
