This session will give participants an insider's view into how staff at Texas State University created Alkek One, a technology-centric ecosystem housed in the Alkek Library that includes GIS, XR, digital fabrication, and time-based media. Staff members from the Technology Engagement Division will discuss space design, educational programming, and user experience. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of all the moving parts required to create, assess, and improve new and emerging technology spaces and programs within a library.

Outcomes:

Learn strategies for developing and designing technology-centric spaces and programs * Plan to assess the user's experience and translate that data to inform future improvements
