Many projects lend themselves to student/staff/faculty collaboration, but none more than the development of a technology placing students into teams, especially in a remote environment. This session will explore Dartmouth?s Team Formation Tool and offer a critical evaluation of the teamwork required to create and implement the tool.
Outcomes: Identify the algorithmic and technological parts of an effective team formation tool * Evaluate an example process of student/staff/faculty collaboration to create an educational tool * Learn to avoid mistakes that can arise during development of a tool requiring LTI framework, student data, and UI design by mixed development teams
