Cybersecurity Experience Summit

November 5 | 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. ET | Online

2020 has been quite an experience for cybersecurity and privacy professionals in higher ed. It has, by all accounts, been transformational. As both the fall semester and the year draw to a close, this is a good time to pause and reflect on the enormous journey we’ve been on, to look back and take stock of the challenges faced and the progress made. It is, however, equally important to look ahead, to identify emergent and persistent trends and consider the impact they will have on our work, our staff, and our institutions. The Cybersecurity Experience summit brings together thought leaders and cybersecurity practitioners to do just that: to look back and move forward. Through a series of interactive discussions, participants will be asked to share their experiences over the past nine months as they relate to one of four areas—privacy, ethics, and analytics; risk; cybersecurity operations; and cybersecurity and privacy innovation. The session will focus first on the challenges faced, the decisions made, and the changes implemented. Participants will then take those lessons and apply them to the future as it relates to navigating the new normal and protecting students, faculty, and staff, both on-campus and off.

The Cybersecurity Experience summit is open to all but is focused on topics of interest to chief information security officers (CISOs) and chief privacy officers (CPOs).
