Session Type:
Breakout Session
Delivery Format:
Interactive Presentation
The release of the EDUCAUSE white paper on next-generation digital learning environments (NGDLE) generated renewed discussion on the evolution of those environments. In parallel, additional research outside the United States on this topic has brought fresh perspectives into these discussions. In this session, thought leaders from the Netherlands and Spain will present summaries of their findings. Through discussion, we will identify common ground across these three studies and identify ways these ideas relate to the teaching and learning mission of our institutions.
Outcomes: Become familiar with the concept of the NGDLE * Explore three separate research studies on this topic * Identify ways the studies' findings relate to your institution
